HISTORY OF WILLIAMES COMPANY

Geoff Williames started the business in 1976. The Company acquired the reputation for having quality equipment and Williames machines were soon to be found throughout Australia – and, eventually, worldwide.

Geoff Williames has helped solve many critical problems in the horticultural and forestry industries. These solutions contributed greatly to developments in terms of quality and quantity of automated, mechanised production. 
He contributed significantly to innovations in several specialist industries, e.g., the essential oils industry in Tasmania; the establishment of Australia’s largest tree nursery at Yarram, Victoria; to Australia’s first sandalwood plantation in the Northern Territory, and to the tea industry, worldwide.
