National Vegetable Expo, Werribee
Williames attended the National Vegetable Expo from 3-4 May 2007. The Expo was widely attended and ran very smoothly thanks to the organization of the Vegetable Growers Association (VGA) and The Gordon Institute of TAFE (Gordon Institute).
Williames was proud to display the following products:
- Vegetable transplanter
- Forestry Planter
- ST 750 Seeding Line including tray filler, seeder, coverer and watering tunnel
- FNC filler
- Pot filler
- Broccoli Trimmer
- Confidore spray unit
- Our range of nursery and forestry trays
- Plant racking systems
In addition Williames demonstrated the vegetable transplanter planting both lettuce and broccoli. We were delighted that the demonstrations served to successfully illustrate the reduced labour requirement, high speed, selectivity, accurate plant spacing and quality planting.
We would like to express our thanks and gratitude to the following groups:
- The VGA and Gordon Institute for their efficient organization and the venue;
- Our customers Boomaroo, NT Timbers, Swinburne University of Technology, Gro Link Nursery, Pegoraro and Mason Brothers who kindly allowed Williames to display the machines they had acquired;
- Joe Cook Ag for their assistance with the Transplanter demonstrations
- Everyone who took the time to visit Williames site; and
- All the Williames staff who were involved in putting the site together and making it happen – a great effort.
